- Responsible for the administrative duties in governing the areas in the council’s jurisdiction, including towns and their surroundings, as gazetted under the Local Govt Act
- Planning future development while providing municipal services that fulfill the basic needs of resident’s daily activities
- Responsible for undertaking tasks which require efficiency, warmth and quality, as well as strive for excellence in the level of service delivered
- Foster good relationships with all parties directly and indirectly, in the context of achieving the Council’s goals and objectives
- Tasks related to administration, secretariat and finance
- Sanitation of towns and recreational areas.
- Provide streetlights.
- &Manage, control and plan development and land usage for areas in the council’s jurisdiction
- Build and maintain roads in areas in the council’s jurisdiction
- Name roads located in the council’s jurisdiction
- Monitor and provide guidelines in construction areas, supervise public parks in the council’s jurisdiction
- Disease control
- Processing and issuance of business licenses
- Process and approve application for development in areas in the council’s jurisdiction
